ATI 250 Powercone Foam Production
We recently introduced the ATI Aquaristik Powercone, which has yet to reach the United States. The hobbyists in Germany have had a chance to play with it though, and judging by the picture above, the ATI Powercone delivers. Of course, there’s no information about the aquarium this skimmer is working on, but the skimmate in the cup is awfully dark, and the foam head seems to be quite thick and dry. The patented “gridwheel” impeller (see below) is the most notable new feature on these protein skimmers. It’s radical design is similar to that of an impeller that has been packed with mesh, but the gridwheel is supposed to last longer and be more effective long term than the meshwheel.
