Tip of the Day 12/29/2010

As we grow in our hobby and become more advanced, I still find many reef keepers going back to what got them into aquariums in the first place. They dabble in all sorts of exotic livestock, unique or unusual husbandry techniques, and equipment that none of us think is necessary but just got to have. After experimenting, many go back to simple setups that require minimal maintenance. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this approach, as even the most hardy of fish or corals still holds beauty and the occasional challenge. Don’t let fads in the hobby dictate what approach you should take. If you find beauty in an aquarium full of damsels and green star polyps, more power to you.
