New additions to the family can always monopolize your time. After all, you do have to look after your children. The birth of a new child often leads to the complete teardown of a hobbyist’s aquarium and a full-on abandonment of the hobby. Usually the itch gets the best of the hobbyist, who climbs back in after a few months or years. But a new child doesn’t have to mean the demise of your hobby. Sure, you can’t spend as much time on your tank as you’d like, but if you take all of the proper steps to automating your aquarium through various controllers and getting into a routine that doesn’t require as much hands on time, then you can efficiently balance both your aquarium and your family life. With that in mind, we will understand if you have to walk away for a brief time, and we’ll gladly accept you back into the reefkeeping fold once you can carve enough time out of your day-to-day schedule to maintain an aquarium again.
