When celebrating Thanksgiving today, be sure to not spread too much of the holiday feasting to your aquarium. By that we mean don’t feel the need to feed your fish in the same style that we stuff our faces. Feeding your fish a little heavily is fine, but dumping in a week’s worth of food certainly isn’t. The food will probably not all get eaten, and any leftovers will just decay into a pile of detritus that fuels algae growth. So, take it easy this holiday and feed your fish adequately without overdoing it.
