Don’t think you have time to maintain a reef aquarium? Well, maintenance takes a lot less time than you think, depending in the size and intricacy of the setup of course. A small desktop aquarium takes little maintenance that can be done once a week, 30 minutes at a time. Just perform routine water changes, say 5 gallons at a time for those small tanks, and wipe down the glass every once in a while. That’s about it. Obviously daily feedings and other trivial tasks will occur on a semi-random basis, but those don’t take much time at all. The point to all of this is don’t get overwhelmed by the idea of maintenance, when in reality it’s not that time consuming.
