While the natural progression for aquarists seems to be freshwater, then saltwater fish only, then softy reef, then hard coral reef, there’s no rule saying that you have to give up your love of soft corals to move onto something else. If you have a love affair with zoanthids, then by all means, fill your tank with them. Those colored sticks not up your alley? Fine, let someone else have them. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have to move toward SPS domination. Soft coral tanks are just as beautiful, especially with a garden full of zoas to look at.
