Tip of the Day – 9/12/2014

If you are a coral vendor, we get the fact that it has almost become mandatory that you name all of your different pieces, or at least the best looking ones. Because everyone else is doing, you almost have to comply to just stay competitive. But that doesn’t mean you have to crank up the hype engine and try to build up a good looking piece into a legendary one. Too often, we see vendors claiming to have the best of the best, and when we dig a little deeper past the catchy headline of the forum post, we find a rather unimpressive coral. Perhaps our standards are too high to think that a named coral must be a knockout. Still, quit hyping up corals withy funky names. Let the colors and patterns speak for themselves.
