Tip of the Day – 8/6/2015 Fish Quarantine

0

Quarantine your aquarium fish before introducing new fish to your display tank.  As many intermediate to advanced hobbyists know, It’s a risk anytime we introduce new animals into the display aquarium.  Even if your LFS (local fish store) has super healthy fish it’s best to have a quarantine tank setup at home before introducing a new fish to the aquarium.  New fish may appear healthy and eat well but they can introduce pathogens and/or parasites to your display tank and wreak havoc on an otherwise healthy display.
