Tip of the Day 11/15/10

Whenever you get calcium hazing or etching on your aquarium’s glass, simply take a sponge or towel soaked in vinegar and get to scrubbing. Of course you’ll have to drain your aquarium down a little ways, but in doing this you will remove those pesky hazy spots on your glass. Other options include muriatic acid (hydrochloric acid) but using vinegar is the much safer route. And don’t worry if you spill a little vinegar into your tank’s water; some people actually dose vinegar.
