Tip of the Day 11/29/2010

Some fish stores don’t always follow best practices. They may not quarantine fish, dip corals, or even acclimate new livestock. This means the fish, corals, or invertebrates you purchase may not always be in the best health or free from parasites. When you purchase a fish, it’s best to be safe and quarantine it. Also, dip your corals in an iodine and saltwater solution. Invertebrates cannot be dipped, as they will not survive it, but you can quarantine them.
