All-in-one aquariums can be good for way for the beginner hobbyist to break into the hobby since they are relatively inexpensive and have built-in filtration and lighting. Keep in mind, though, that they are lacking crucial equipment to house most corals and water quality is often more difficult to maintain than a larger aquarium. You are very limited as to what fish and corals you can keep, and water quality can quickly go south as there’s such a small volume. Water changes are crucial to a nano aquarium’s health, and most stock equipment can be upgraded to better suite your livestock’s needs.
