Pictured in this week’s installment of the AquaNerd Picture of the Week is a Rainbow Lobophyllia open brain coral hanging out in a forest of Acanthastrea lordhowensis and other gorgeous LPS corals. This particular coral has a healthy mix of colors, with a deep purple mouth region surrounded by dark green flesh that’s outlined in pink. The striking thing about this aquarium is that all of the LPS corals are full and fluffy looking. The flesh on each coral is so healthy, and this has been primarily due to heavy feedings of certain foods.
