We spent yet another weekend at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, so we’re back with another fossilized marine animal. Last week we shared an awesome fossil stingray that was embedded into a sheet of sedimentary rock. This week the fossil literally jumps off the rock, as the crab is so well preserved in an action figure like stance. The crab, much like last week’s stingray, shows how little these animals have changed over the last few million years. This crab looks just like its modern counterparts.
