Have you ever thought about what your aquarium inhabitants do when you’re not hovering over the tank and staring right at them? Fish know when we’re watching them, and because of this their behavior is drastically different than if we weren’t there. A particular individual may act nice and crave your attention when you’re around, but can become a dominating bully when you’re not. If you suspect any bullying, set a camera in the room and video the fish’s interactions. The fish may need to become adapted to the presence of the camera, but over time they will act normally.
