When building your aquarium, it’s wise to listen to the advice of others, but you definitely don’t have to take it. Ultimately the aquarium is yours. You have to stare at it day in and day out, so why not make it the way you want? If you get criticism on a way something is done but don’t agree with it, just remember you are building the tank for others. On the other hand, if your spouse has a strong opinion about something, it might be wise to fix the issue. Otherwise, you may not have an aquarium at all.
