Love to have tons of water flow in your aquarium but hate having those pesky sandstorms and an exposed glass bottom in certain areas? Well don’t skimp on the water flow, for starters. It’s far too important to cut back on. Instead, try filling those exposed spots with a larger grain sand. The larger grain won’t blow away like the finer stuff, and because the water flow is so strong in that area, it also won’t collect detritus as much. Of course, if you really love the high speed, high volume water flow, you could always go with a bare bottom setup.
