Tonight is New Year’s Eve, and that means there will be plenty of fireworks and partying into the long hours of the night. It also means that you might have hands covered in gunpowder by the night’s end, assuming you partake in the pyrotechnic displays for the neighborhood. Unfortunately, gunpowder and aquariums don’t go well together. So if you need to make any late night adjustments to your equipment or plan on feeding any of the livestock, just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly and keep the heavy metal contaminants out of your aquarium.
