While we normally suggest to shop around for the best deals on aquarium equpiment and livestock, there’s a lot of value to be had in customer loyalty. If you frequent one particular store, be it online or a brick-and-mortar, then you have a lot more negotiating power, if you will. A store will be virtually unwilling to dole out discounted aquarium goods to one time customers who are complete strangers. If you keep going to the same store and build up a repore with the staff there, then chances are they’ll cut you in on sweeter deals, let you know when certain items will be showing up, or even hold things until you’re ready to purchase. That said, by limiting yourself to one store, you miss out on the selection and deals to be had elsewhere, so it’s certainly a give and take.
