When it comes to asking questions and seeking out advice about your aquariums, more often than not, the simplest and most direct questions are the best. Too often, newbie hobbyists ask questions about a fish ailment or aquarium issue and include a mile long list of different bits of information. Asking a question about pH, for example, could lead to the hobbyist spilling the beans on their entire list of livestock and equipment. While it’s better to have as much information as possible, most of the info is just irrelevant and only turns would be commenters away from dishing out advice. So, keep it simple. Ask the question but don’t turn off people to helping you.
