When building or designing your aquarium, keep in mind that your tank will weigh a ton…literally. Make sure that the foundation below the tank can support all that weight. Aquariums on a second story or in a house with a crawl space below the floor make for quite a challenge. To combat potential issues, it would be wise to opt for a larger footprint aquarium to help distribute the weight.
