Be careful when using testing equipment to check your water quality or other aquarium equipment. Refractometers and pH meters, for example, need to be calibrated on a regular basis so they can give accurate readings. PAR meters, while not needing to be calibrated, do need to be used in an appropriate fashion in order to get quality results. Read any instruction manuals associated with the equipment and follow them to the “T”.
