Mealtime in your aquarium can actually be a stressful event, especially if you have a lot of livestock to feed. Fish can become aggressive, injure themselves or others, and other fish may not get enough to eat. The best approach to this is to feed multiple times per day, as well as provide plenty of food so every animal gets a chance. Sure, you may end up overfeeding, but that can be cleared up with water changes and appropriately sized filtration systems (protein skimmers, sumps, refugia, etc). Another thing you can do is feed in multiple places of the tank and use a variety of foods. Some food will sink, others will float, and things like algae sheets need to be attached to something. Just make sure you provide the proper diet for your fish and they will remain healthy.
