Placing your pump outlets and powerheads in the proper spot can make all the difference in the world. When initially arranging the flow in your tank, make sure to provide plenty of turbulent flow by point poweheads at each other or at items such as the tank walls. Randomized and turbulent flow are much more beneficial than laminar (straight) flow.
