Tip of the Day – 6/30/09

When fragging zoanthids and palythoas, be sure to wash your hands and tools thoroughly. Zoas and palys contain a very strong toxin called palytoxin. It can paralyze muscles and cause blindness and nausea even through simple skin contact. If ingested, palytoxin can even be fatal (mostly to small kids or pets). So, be careful when fragging.
