Watch out for coral eating fish that are listed as being “reef safe” on the internet or in books. For example, the scribbled rabbitfish (and other rabbitfish for that matter) are spectacular algae eaters. But once their food source starts running low, they may nip at zoanthids. Some tangs have also been known to nibble on zoanthids and other polyps.
