Want to go green with your aquarium? There are several upgrades you can do to your system to cut back on energy costs. You can use solar tubes for lighting, remove that giant pump and go with a smaller one, or upgrade your skimmer to a more energy efficient model. Other things you can do are cut your aquarium’s photoperiod or don’t run the equipment all of the time, but intermittently.
