Pictured above is a whale shark at the world famous Georgia Aquarium. The whale shark is the world’s largest fish, reaching lengths exceeding 40 feet. Despite their size, these sharks feed on some of the tiniest creatures in the ocean. Whale sharks are filter feeders. They swim at slower speeds with their mouths open, ingesting plankton, krill, algae, and various other life forms.
