Believe it or not, but copper is found naturally among wild reefs and can even be found in your reef aquarium. Read any salt study and you’ll find that copper is an ingredient, though its presence in relation to other elements is very minuscule. Some additives, such as ZEOvit, contain copper in them and reef keepers dose these additives daily in their low nutrient reefs. I’m not suggesting that everyone go out and dump copper into their aquariums, but copper does get a bad rap when it comes to discussing invertebrates and corals.
