An easy way to keep your aquarium cool and extend the life of your fixture’s bulbs is to add a fan, or set of fans. You can either position the fan to blow cool across the bulbs, or have them pointing away from the bulb drawing away the heat. Either way, a simple $15 fan and power supply can vastly extend a light bulbs usable life and keep your aquarium cool. Depending the amount of fans, it’s not unreasonable to expect a drop in a couple of degrees or more.
