When buying used aquarium equipment, look for newer items that could potentially have some warranty left on it. This way, if the equipment shows up damaged or something happens to it shortly after you put it into service, you can get it fixed without having to replace the entire item or spending an arm and a leg. Just make sure the warranty will transfer to a new owner, otherwise it’s pointless.
