Bad habits are hard to break. These can include not testing, using tap water instead of RO water, not acclimating, etc. It’s best to develop good habits at the onset of your aquatic hobby, that way you are used to and comfortable with doing things the right way. If you find you are doing thing improperly on a consistent basis, try talking with other hobbyists, see what they are doing, and work hard at adapting your skills and behaviors.
