Guest speakers at the various aquarium-related events held annually are full of knowledge and can offer great insight on the topic they are sharing. Most aquarium hobbyists pass these speakers over when attending the events in favor of something a little more exciting. Granted, sitting through a lecture may not be the most entertaining, but there’s a reason why the speakers are there. They discuss things most people might not think of and offer a perspective not necessarily shared by everyone else. I’m not suggesting to attend every speaker’s presentation out there, but sit in on one or two every once in a while to gain something new.
