Tip of the Day 12/27/2010

Saltwater aquariums can make a great addition to any home. However, they can also be quite destructive. Saltwater from overflows and protein skimmers can splash on unprotected surfaces and leave salt deposits after it evaporates. Metal objects in the room where the tank is can rust and your home may become hot and humid. Not to mention, spilled water can absolutely destroy floors of any time almost. There are several ways to avoid these issues, including using de-humidifiers, water-resistant liners, and extra precautions.
