Before and After
Ecoxotic is putting their money where their mouth is. Even though LEDs have been proven to grow SPS corals time and time again, many people still question the abilities of these lights. To put any doubts to rest, Ecoxotic has released a couple of growth shots from an aquarium illuminated by only Panorama LED fixtures for a period of 6 months. The reef tank comes from Reef H2o, a wholesale distributor of Ecoxotic products, and the photos span a total of 4.5 months. As you can see from the images, the Montipora capricornis and Candy Cane coral (Caulastrea furcata) have both grown significantly over such a short time. There are even Acroporids thriving in the aquarium.
