Tank tours can be a great way to get exposed to tons of other aquariums. See how your local aquarium hobbyists setup and maintain their aquariums, and chances are you will get some great ideas on how you want to change your aquarium. The downside to a tank tour, is that you will want to revamp your tank. This could lead to a total system breakdown and rebuild, which could lead to countless hours with your hands in the tank. I know from the last tank tour I attended, I ended up changing my entire lighting scheme and live rock layout.
