When drilling live rock in order to get that unique aquascape, be very careful and take your time. Drilling the rock means it will be subjected to intense vibrations from the drill and plenty of downward pressure as you hold the rock in place and create the holes. Breaking a piece of live rock is very easy to do at this stage in your aquarium build, which can ruin your entire aquascape plans. So be careful when prepping your rock and try not to drill near cracks or thin areas.
