Reef aquariums can easily become dominated by a single color, or shades of that color, and that causes the tank to look too boring. Green is the most common culprit, as a lot of the corals imported are completely green or have some sort of green in them. This color can be found in just about every type of coral, from Acropora frags to large brain corals. To keep your tank from becoming dominated by one color, it’s not as simple as not purchasing corals that are all the same color. It’s a great place to start, but also keep in mind how quickly corals grow and how they affect the growth of other species.
