Lyretail Anthias Feeding
The latest installment of the AquaNerd Pic of the Week focuses on a small group of Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis), two of which can be seen feeding in the massive reef aquarium they call home. The picture is actually an older one that I came across while sorting through all of the images that I’ve managed to accumulate over the years. The aquarium was the main display reef at Aquarium Design Group’s former showroom at their previous location. Besides the fish and a few visible corals, the tank also houses an extremely large Tridacna gigas clam. The clam is well over 3-feet long and actually played host to a black and white Ocellaris clownfish during its stay in the aquarium.
