Feeding your fish multiple times per day isn’t an impossible chore that will pollute your tank, if done properly of course. Most hobbyists set their light timers to come on some time during the day and program them to turn off very late in the evening. Even if you work late, the lights will most likely still be on when you get home, meaning the fish will still be active and hungry. If you feed the tank shortly after getting home, there’s plenty of time to feed a few more times throughout the evening. The big mistake to avoid when doing this is to not feed a lot of food each time. Instead, use small amounts during each feeding, making sure that each of the fish eat a reasonable amount.
