When packing up aquarium equipment to ship off to a fellow hobbyist, keep in mind that certain companies seem like they want to play kickball with your fragile items. Because of this, it’s wise to pack items with extra protective foam and bubble wrap, use boxes that aren’t all torn up, and even consider getting insurance on the item. If something breaks in transit, you may not think it’s your fault, but if the equipment looks like it was packed by a 5-year old, then you may get negative feedback on the transaction that gets posted on public forums.
