When deciding on the livestock choices for your aquarium, it’s very easy to consult the various compatibility lists that abound on the livestock sellers’ websites. While these snippets of info generally have good guidelines, they aren’t always perfect and they will never have complete information. Their incompleteness is due mostly to the varying nature of our aquariums, as many fish will behave differently in the presence of others. For example, the Royal Gramma Basslet (Gramma loreto) is a very peaceful and hardy fish that normally doesn’t bother other fish. However, it seems to become enraged when other similarly colored fish enter into it’s space. So, when deciding on your fish purchases, keep the limitations of the information lists in mind and purchase cautiously.
