When trying to feed fish that live a more cryptic lifestyle, try feeding them right before the lights turn on and when the rest of the fish are still tucked away in the rock structure. Chances are, the cryptic fish will be out and about when the lights are off anyways, and the fish will eat if it’s not too dark in the aquarium. This might also work for fish that are really shy, or are easily intimidated by more aggressive feeders.
