The good thing about most reverse osmosis setups is they can be easily modified, and users can easily add extra stages and accessories to them. So, if you bought a three stage filter years ago, but your setup now requires far more water filtering firepower, just buy the extra pieces instead of starting from scratch. To get the most out of your tap water, try adding a booster pump to increase water pressure and improve waste water rejection rates, a TDS meter to make sure the water is getting completely filtered, small micron pre-filters to maximize the life of the TFC membrane, a pressure gauge to make sure the system is operating under ideal conditions, and deoinozation to finish off those last few dissolved solids.
