If you have LPS corals sitting anywhere near other corals, then you’re asking for some trouble. Many fleshy hard corals can have elongated stinging tentacles that sweep back and forth in the water current, and anything nearby will likely get stung as a result. Most corals will simply show signs of agitation at first, but over time the stinging coral can kill its victim. So, if you have a stinging coral, be sure to segregate them and keep more sensitive corals upstream of the dangerous tentacles.
