Back in March, we came across a new series of controllable pumps from Reef Life Support Systems called the Waveline Variable Speed DC Pump. This new pump represented one of the first truly affordable controllable water pump options outside of the powerhead market, and had a bevy of features that allow it to be a true force in one’s aquarium equipment arsenal. Fast forward to today, and RLSS has another model hitting the market for those needing a bit more flow. They are releasing the DC-10000, which turns over a whopping 2640 gallons per hour (or 10,000 lph) and would make for one sweet closed loop pump. To help us visualize the water flow difference between the DC-10000 and it’s smaller brother the DC-5000, RLSS has included a video above, which shows the two pumps shooting streams of water out of a little bit of plumbing affixed to the outlet.
