Before tearing down any existing rock work, be sure to take highly detailed photographs so that you can r-epiece things down the road with less headache. Too many times, we’ve decided to tweak a single rock and wind up re-scaping the entire tank in an attempt to get things back to the way they were. The few photographs we had on hand helped, but in a situation like that, the more photos you have showing the most detail the better. Of course, if you secure the rock structure with acrylic rods, glue, epoxy, or reef safe mortar.
