Here’s a troubling story out of Oregon. A fish store in Portland, called Fantaseas, was vandalized when some obviously troubled people dumped a copper solution into the coral systems. The copper laid waste to almost all of the corals in the affected systems, causing up to $40,000 in damage. The store’s owner, Patrick McBride, said he spoke with his livestock distributor, who said several of these incidents have occurred up and down the East Coast and on in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The actual story doesn’t say who killed the coral, but comments on the KREM News article indicated that the perps were animal rights activists. If that truly is the case, then obviously their actions would be counterproductive to their cause.
