When cleaning your aquarium, make sure to thoroughly scrape the underside of the eurobrace, as it is a prime spot for algae growth and excessive salt creep. The bracing around the tank serves several key functions, such as reinforcing the glass or acylic panels and preventing wayward snails from getting out of the tank. But over time, that same bracing can end up looking like the large glass center brace found in older style aquariums. That is, they become very dirty and can block out light to certain parts of the tank. Fortunately, these eurobraces are not normally thick, so they may only block out a small portion of the light.
