Tip of the Day – 11/13/2012

When taking photos of your aquarium’s inhabitants, be strategic with the use of a flash. While I normally avoid using a flash altogether, especially those aimed directly at the aquarium, they cansl still be of some use when photographing fish. The key to using a flash is to diffusenthe light and don’t aim it directly at the target of the photo. If you illuminate the subject too much, the photo will look odd and artificial. By relying on a more diffused flash, or the aquarium’s light, the scenery will look more natural and the colors will be more in line with what you see on a regular basis.
