Tip of the Day – 12/24/2012

If you’re venturing away from your aquarium for an extended period of time during the holidays, it would be best to grab a neighbor of fellow hobbyist to look in on your tank from time to time. As we’ve mentioned before, a very straightforward list of things to do is essential. The list should have every task you need performed during your absence and in the order they need to be done. On top of that, the list needs to be simple, with effective instructions. To help your tank sitter along, try to label certain devices or maybe even include photographs of each item. This will allow a lay person (e.g. your disinterested neighbor) to perform a handful of activities and keep your tank running until you return.
